It is with due consideration that we will have to introduce a $16.50 Freight Levy across all devices on our Full Service & Maintenance Agreements. This charge is due to the changing economic landscape and the increased costs internationally relating to logistics and fuel costs that have been created by the global environment. These costs have been borne as a by-product of the pandemic and have subsequently and rapidly increased the costs of service supply to our customers. Toner and all other consumables costs, as well as logistics costs, have all increased significantly since 2020 and whilst we have recently reviewed copy costs to assist us in maintaining our toner and consumables supply, we now find the cost of delivery to be too excessive to continue providing this service without charge.
Since the pandemic we have seen drastic changes in the logistics environment that has in turn threatened our ability to continually provide service in the manner that you have traditionally enjoyed. We had previously attempted to recoup increasing freight costs on deliveries but without success and so continued to absorb these increased costs in the hope that this would be a short-term challenge. However, it has become apparent in line with changing global issues that the business model, in its current format, is unsustainable.
At Sunshine Coast Business Solutions, we take pride in our ability to maintain high levels of service on your machine and it is unfortunate we need to impose this charge to continue this service, however we would warmly welcome the opportunity to discuss alternative Full Service & Maintenance Agreements that would mutually satisfy both our firms needs to ensure that we continue to provide the high level of service your business traditionally deserves.
In order to provide you with the opportunity to review your Agreements, this Levy will not commence until January 2023. Your business is important to us, and these decisions are not taken lightly.
